Welcome to The Tolerant Tummy!
I’m Sarah. I’m a food enthusiast with a very soft spot for peanut butter. A California transplant who calls Texas home, and mom to a (tiny bald) human and a (large fluffy) golden retriever. I also happen to be a Registered Dietitian with a love-hate relationship with my stomach. I’ve struggled with digestive health issues for the last ten years, and was eventually diagnosed with IBS. Read more about my story here!
I created this blog to support others who are also on a gut health mission. It’s my hope that by sharing my experiences, fact-based information, recipes, and how-to’s, I can help you navigate a healthy happy life, whether you have tummy troubles, food allergies/intolerances, or are simply trying to boost your digestive health.
Figuring out what’s best for YOUR belly can be a huge challenge and involves lots of trial and error. There isn’t one “right” way of eating, because no two people (or stomachs) are the same. But there’s nothing like good food, patience, and a supportive community to get you feeling your best!
I chose the name “Tolerant Tummy” because I truly believe it’s always possible to cultivate a thriving, functional relationship with your digestive system, regardless of any “in”tolerances.
I hope these resources are helpful. If you’re looking for somewhere to start, try browsing my posts on gut health or favorite recipes for inspiration. For weekly updates, click “subscribe” to the right of this page!
Let me know what you think! I’d love to hear from you.
